A "Core Values" campaign launched by fashion giant Louis Vuitton features a spread with Edun co-founders Bono and Ali Hewson. They wear their own Edun label apparel in the ad, which reflects a new partnership between the line and the LMVH group. The photo was taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz and will appear in several magazines and newspapers this fall. Bono and Ali did not receive payment for appearing in the ads - they donated their fees to the Chernobyl Children's Project International, Conservation Cotton Initiative and TechnoServe, which fosters enterprise in the developing world.

The second of two nights at Horsens' tiny stadium was special. In the afternoon the band rehearsed. U2gigs.com reported that In a little while, Miss Sarajevo, City of blinding lights, Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me (Bono said: "We have to fix this problem. We need another bass sound.") and also Ultra Violet were played. U2start.com reports they heard Pride, Breathe and No Line On the Horizon. (When U2 start rehearsing songs for their shows, it usually takes a few concerts before they actually play them in front of an audience. Helsinki II, get ready.)
As you all know 360 tour started on friday. Of course I was at the concert and I don't want to write too much about it because all of us know how the show was going on. I want to tell you what happend day after the concert in Eze. After the Torino show I went to French Riviera. After 3 pm (yesterday) I went to Bono house in Eze. I assumed they gonna be there, as all we know - U2 always spend holidays there. So the whole band were there with families, also Guggi,Gavin Friday,Paul, and others ( did not recognize them). In the evening there was a "Edge Birthday Party", a lot of guest there. What is very interesting - during the party from the house of Bono I heared at least 10 new songs, some from spiderman project some I guess not, I couldn't record it because the bodyguards were everywhere :), some songs were very "U2 style". So - you can see Bono picture from Eze here, also the setlist from Torino and Bono picture from Nicea airport.
U2 spills some beans about this Friday's tour opener -and also talks about future album plans - in an interview published Thursday by the Italian newspaper La Stampa.
On the subject of new album plans, Bono says: that U2 currently has four projects going on:
- "an ambient album, Songs of Ascent"
- "a rock album"
- "a club music" album
- "the soundtrack of Spiderman, the musical debuting on Broadway in November"
The band gives no other details about any of those projects. But they do reveal some of their plans for Friday night's U2 360 tour opener. Bono says the band will play "at least three new songs," and he confirms that one of them is the song U2 wrote especially for their planned Glastonbury appearance. He says they worked on that song last year during the week that the band was finishing the tour in Vancouver, performing in New York at the Rock Hall's 30th Anniversary concert, and performing with Jay-Z at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.
