Xavi is my friend from 2007. I met him on u2eastlink website and we met in person in Barcelona in April 2008. Xavi is my favorite U2 sign collector all around the world  ( total: 79 band signs !!, in addition also Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno and Salamn Rushdie ), he got also like Dominika many pictures with the band. He is a U2 fan since 1987 when he first listened to "The Joshua Tree". His two favorite albums are "The Joshua Tree" and "Achtung Baby". He was on 17 U2 concerts (1 Zoo TV Tour, 1 Zooropa Tour , 4 Popmart Tour , 3 Elevation Tour , 8 Vertigo Tour ) plus Amigo Awards performance in Madrid, Bono's Frock and Roll performance in BCN and U23D première in Cannes. He also attended the NRJ Awards in Cannes in January 2005 when Bono picked up an award for U2.

He has met the band several times since 1997 when he first met Bono before and after Popmart concert in Washington DC till last time in front of HQ Studios in Dublin in November '07.
Some details about his last meetings with the band .....After the U2 3D Premiere in Cannes he met Adam and Larry as they were leaving a private party. Larry walked to Xavi and three other friends, signed and posed for pictures and even accepted a bottle of spanish wine they had for him. A few months later in Dublin, Bono and Edge attended REM concert and Xavi was also in the audience. After the show and waiting for REM, a door opened and both U2 members appeared by surprise, nice surprise. Finally, in November'07 Xavi spent a few days in Dublin. The band wasn't supposed to be at the studio but they all were inside. As they left, Bono and Adam came out to meet the very few fans waiting for them.

A very special meeting was in September 07 in Barcelona. The band was leaving to play Montpellier that night and Xavi asked Bono to play MLK as he and some friends were driving to Montpellier for the show. Bono said "Are you really going to Montpellier for the show? Ok, we will do it". The show closed with a "a capella" version of MLK. Being by his request or not, Xavi and friends wanted to have MLK live and they had it !

About his collection he has a lot of additional very rare things. He collects any item with the U2 word on it. Vinyls, cds, Dvds, t-shirts, posters, ....... Many items from U2s top 30 but the rare things he likes the most is:

- U2 Island official "Expect Nothing but the best" T-shirt (that's the name that Pop was supposed to have before it was delayed http://www.u2eastlink.com/collector/16.php

- Ali Hewson's personal Vertigo Tour All Access Pass, with her own picture , named just Ali and included as "Band"
