I met Dion by accident on interference, we both met Bono in Claremont in 2007 but in those days we didn't know each other. Dion is a U2 fan from the beginning. She saw U2 in their early days. She got a lot of pictures from that moments, also with the band. Her encounters with the band have been mostly in Phoenix, Arizona or Los Angeles, but mostly Phoenix since 1982. Pop was a nightmare for her - it was the only tour she didn't get some kind of picture from. She saw U2 on every tour except their first Boy Tour. Her favorite U2 album is Achtung Baby, her favorite U2 song is Bad, Where the Streets Have no Name and In God's Country. She has been U2 fan since 1981 when she saw - ASU night club to watch MTV on the big screen. She saw a band called U2 singing I WILL FOLLOW and she was hooked ever since!!!!. Dion story of Bono and Ali meeting is very wide, her story is like is very impressive :

I have met Bono 11 times, but my most favorite was meeting him at the Edun Event held at Nordstroms in September 17, 2006. I reconised his videographer because of some mutal friends and she took me back to the dressing room to meet him alone. No other fans, but around 2 other guests. I gave him a bouquet of daisies on behalf of a friends on Zootopia. Bono was so excited he kept saying how he loved his Zootopians. Nicole wanted to take some pictures of us holding the flowers so we posed cheek to cheek. It was a so precious. Next, I had him sign a picture I took of him from the Achtung baby Tour and said that was the last time I ever talked to him. We finsihed up which seemed about 15 minutes. He had to get out to meet the other fans waiting inside the event and asked us if we would take the flowers over to give to Ali. So he left and Nicole and I went to her. She was standing with Rogan Gregory and Lian Lunson. She was so blown away by the gesture of flowers and kept saying it was so sweet. We posed together for a photo holding them as well. I told her there was a card inside I forgot to give Bono and asked if she could make sure he got it. which of course she said she would. We excused ourselves and left. I went out to watch Nicole shoot video of Bono chatting with fans. I took my own pix while watching. I could see Bono had seen me too. At the end before leaving out the curtain into the store, he stopped to me and out his hand around my arm and gave it a squeeze and told me he would see me next time.

I would meet Ali again on October 17, 2007 at the next Edun Event. She came up the escalator and kind of just stood there with everyone staring at her, so I stepped out and extended her my hand and welcomed her back. She told me she remembered me from the year before. Later we had a chance to talk about Edun more, have her sign an Edun tshirt I bought and at the end I gave her some pictures to pass along to Bono. They were of Little Brandon who met him at the Liberty Medal Award ceremony. She wanted to know about the little boy and the story, so I gave a brief history. She later posed for more pix with our group of friends from our myspace and Lian Lunson (who also remembered me!) was there and took the pictures for me on my camera.

I would see Bono again on October 30, 2007 at the Claremont Speech. The crowd rushed him, but some how I managed to get up to him. I gave him a gift bag which held a scrapbook I made as a gift for Ali from the Edun event and asked him to give it to her. My highlight of just the few mintues was Bono telling me that he remembered me. I had been meeting him since 1982 and just to hear him say that makes me so happy!!

13 CONCERTS...AND HAVE OFFICIALLY MET BONO 11 TIMES. MET ADAM 9 TIMES. EDGE 4 TIMES, LARRY 2 TIMES (and he has a special cross stitch craft I made of the Joshua Tree!!) Larry was around, but he wouldn't come talk sometimes.
