To the surprise of absolutely no one, U2 360 was named the Top Tour of 2011 in Billboard magazine's year-end review. During Billboard's reporting year, which runs from November 2010 to November 2011, U2 360 played 44 shows, sold 2,887,972 tickets and grossed $293,281,487 - a little more than $100 million better than Bon Jovi's second-place total. You probably know by now that U2 360 became the highest-grossing tour of all-time shortly before it ended in July, 2011. Billboard has a feature recapping that accomplishment and also looking at some of the other successful tours from the past year. Now we wait for the new U2 tour, we hope it's gonna be soon and we hope we are not going to wait for it many years.
